报告题目：Lie algebras, Kac-Moody algebras and vertex algebras

报告摘要：We first recall the notions and development of Lie algebra, Kac-Moody algebra, and vertex operator realizations for affine Kac-Moody algebras. Finally we deal with the vertex algebra theory and the proof of Moonshine conjecture.

报告人简介：谭绍滨教授，博士生导师，厦门大学数学科学学院院长，国务院学位委员会第六、七届学科评议组（数学组）成员，教育部教指委委员，“闽江学者”特聘教授。担任《数学学报（英）》、《数学进展》、《应用数学》及《Frontiers of Mathematics in China》等杂志编委。主要研究方向有：Kac-Moody代数、顶点代数等。主持完成国家自然科学基金重点基金和面上项目多项。先后应邀到加拿大、美国、日本及中国香港等地参加学术会议和学术访问，已在国内外重要学术杂志：Adv. Math.; Comm. Math. Phys.； J. Algebra； Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.；Math. Zeit.等刊物发表科研论文80余篇。
